Wicked Image Creates Sturdy iPhone Cases in Biker Billet

One of the really great things about J&P Cycles is the fact that we have a long, long list of incredible vendors and great products. And every once in awhile, one of our manufacturers will take a step or two outside its comfort zone and develop a product with which they are not normally associated.

Such is the case with Wicked Image, which manufactures a full line of Harley aftermarket products and accessories. What we usually get from Arin and the boys is a collection of bad ass billet pieces in the form of mirrors, forward controls, shift linkages, brake and shifter arms and floorboards. But Wicked Image got real crafty and began tinkering with the concept of creating some motorcycle bling. In particular, the burgeoning billet business began turning out a new cell phone case — in particular, a hot new iPhone case.

Because, let’s face it. All of us have, at one time or another been on the lookout for a case or cover of some sort for our phone. There are only so many times you can bounce it off the shop floor or hear it clatter to the sidewalk when you’re climbing on your bike. Problems arise when we drop by the local big box store and are presented with phone covers that either look like they belong to Inspector Gadget or Lewis from Revenge of the Nerds.

Not so for the Wicket Image phone cases. These are designed not only by bikers, but by guys that make cool stuff as a force of habit. These are nothing like your run-of-the-mill

iPhone cases. First off, the “Wicked Metal Jacket” is made from aircraft aluminum so it’s lightweight as well as virtually indestructible. In addition, these are customized cases for both the 3G/3GS and the iPhone 4 models.

They are offered in a variety of designs and anodized colors, which leaves you with no excuse at all to not wrap your beloved iPhone in some billet. Not only will you save on cell phone carnage, but you won’t look like Steve Urkel every time you pull your phone out of your pocket.

About the Author:

Patrick Garvin began his stint with J&P Cycles at the start of 2008 after doing some installs for us at Daytona and Sturgis for two years. Currently, Patrick splits his time between the eCommerce team and purchasing, finding new and exciting products for our website and catalog. When he’s not at his desk, he’s zigzagging across the country with J&P’s event crew. Patrick has an obsession with going fast on just about anything, a trait he shares with his 6-year-old son Race. You can usually find both of them wrenching in the garage or ripping through the fields on dirt bikes. Emma, his beautiful wife of 7-plus years, puts up with his antics and keeps his head screwed on because he certainly wouldn’t be able to find it without her.

I bought this case for my iphone 4 and it interferes with the signal. Took it to an apple store and they confirmed it. Tried to contact the manufacture and no help. It may look nice but not worth the price to loose signal.

Don’t buy for the iPhone 4, it interferes with the signal. I put this case on and my 2 bars went to No Service. Took it off, 2 bars again… I assume it’s due to the metal case against the iPhone 4’s chassis.

You have to create something for the Droid line of phones as well. Not everyone likes or uses just iPhones.
