Biketoberfest Blast Underway in Daytona Beach

The 19th edition of Biketoberfest got underway yesterday in Daytona Beach, Fla., and while many states are chilling up, those of us lucky enough to live and work in Florida are at a point where a light jacket is reasonable evening wear.

And the onset of what we call fall here in Florida only accents the sounds of motorcycle engines, the shine of chrome and the smells of various meats on sticks.

J&P Reports From Biketoberfest in Daytona Beach

Once again the biker version of the “fall classic” is here and in full swing. We’re set up on the corner of Interstate 95 and Highway 1 and we’re showing off enough  biker swag to impress even the most veteran of motorcycle show attendees. If It’s Fall in Florida, Then It’s Time for Biketoberfest

Every year as the weather begins its subtle change to fall and the days get shorter, Daytona Beach residents pack up their beach gear and start thinking about Biketoberfest. Out come the leather riding jackets and chaps, as well as cleaning equipment for their bikes.

In fact, the whole Florida town starts getting ready for this annual event, creating new Biketoberfest banners, directional signs and stocking up store shelves with everything even faintly related to two-wheeling.
