My review of the Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa II tire. Before I begin my review, I should state that I am not a professional rider and I have had very little professional instruction. My riding abilities come from riding from the age of 12, THOUSANDS of miles on the road and a few track days so take my review for what it’s worth from an average street rider.
As I was installing the Diablo Rosso Corsa II tires I could tell these were soft. They went on the rims fairly easily and were very pliable. The tires provide a nicely rounded profile once mounted and the tread pattern looked nice on my 2015 Aprilia Tuono V4 APRC. Immediately upon riding, I noticed how neutral the tires were and the little effort they required to initiate turns. I was able to find a few good corners to test the grip a bit and at higher lean angles, the tires provided excellent grip and did not squirm or move around much at all thanks to the softer compound on the sides. The feedback is excellent and I felt very confident about pushing the tires as much as my ability would allow. I have only put a few hundred miles on these on the street and the rear is starting to square off just a bit but I expected that from a rather soft street tire. So far they are wearing very evenly without any sign of cupping and I inflate my tires to 38 psi. At most I would expect 3,000 miles out of these but I will probably swap them out around 2,000 miles as I don’t like riding on squared off tires. Overall I am extremely pleased with these tires and would absolutely buy again.
