You can run tubes in a “tubeless” rim/tire set up. You see it a fair amount on big wheel baggers. I would be more concerned with what the “scary” stuff was in the wheel.

    Hi, Patrick,
I have two bikes that are an exception to the rule. They are both 2010 Indian Chief Vintages. They have SPOKED RIMS, but TUBELESS TIRES. The rear rims were recalled, for a cracking problem. When the dealer took one of them apart, he said it was “scary” in there. I’ve toyed with the idea of putting tubes in them. Any thoughts ?
