While online looking at the details and structure of this fairing, I thought this fairing was going to be a huge waste of time and money, but I was completely wrong. Looking at it online, it seemed flimsy like it would shake and deform with any kind of wind resistance and that it would just look awful on the bike. Once I received it my thoughts completely changed it was so well made you could feel it when holding it, the structure is strong, the mounting points are reinforced, and fully adjustable on the mounting hardware. It came with a nice light shine black paint that is also paint ready, so don’t fear you can change the color of it all you want with ease.
I matched mine with the 9 inch Ghost Spoiler windshield from Memphis Shades since I am 6 feet tall and it is a perfect combination, the windshield is held tightly in place and both the fairing and windshield are held tightly to the bike and works perfectly to keep the wind off you. The fairing also seals around the headlight housing as well, giving the whole fairing a nice look, as if it was supposed to be on my bike (2007 Harley Davidson Street Bob). The entire set-up is easy to clean, starting with it doesn’t really get that dirty to begin with, bugs do not seem to stick to it to bad and it is highly scratch and shatter resistant. I had a rock sling off the tire off a truck in front of me and impact the fairing directly and you couldn’t even tell it hit it, no scratches or dents.
The batwing also has great additions to make the fairing better such as a speaker pod to go into the inside gap which is pretty big if you don’t fill it with something, also lower leg wind deflectors, and they have many different sizes of windshields with different color options to suit every rider.
