J&P Cycle’s Hitting the Road: Colorado and Florida

At J&P Cycles, we take a certain amount of pride in being more than just a customer service-friendly motorcycle parts retailer. J&P has been a part of the motorcycle community for over 30 years now. Back in 1979, before any “biker build-offs” or hot-tempered guys in Orange County, NY made their way onto television, our founder — John Parham — started J&P Cycles as a grass roots company heavily involved in the swap meet circuit. Over the years, J&P Cycles has grown with the motorcycle culture, becoming a fixture all over the country, including our very own ridiculously huge Open House; our permanent superstore at Destination Daytona in Ormond Beach, FL; and, our entire city block each year in Sturgis, SD, right in the middle of all the mayhem between Main and Lazelle streets.

Being out there in the heat, sweat, gasoline and burnout smoke, gives our staff a unique perspective that some of our competitors just don’t have. Basically, it enables us to hear the needs and wants of our customers and gives us a chance to seek out new and innovative products and to be among the first to bring them to market. So check out our events page to see if that big J&P Cycles rig is headed your way.

This weekend J&P Cycles will be at two events. The Colorado Motorcycle Show and Swap with 125 show bikes, a pin-striping exhibition, live music, over 800 vendor booths and an auction on Sunday. Hours are Saturday January 30th 9 am to 7 pm and Sunday January 31st 10am to 5 pm at the National Western Complex off I-70 exit at Brighton Blvd. Denver Colorado.

Second on the docket and attracting an average of 12,000 bikers every year is the Florida Motorcycle Expo & Bike Builder Invitational. There will be tons of activities, exhibitor booths, tattoo artists a Miss Full Throttle contest and builders will be competing for $5000 in prize money. The event gets started on Friday evening January 29th with a VIP party open to the public and continues through the weekend. This is all going down in Clearwater Fl at Harborview Center, 300 Cleveland Street. With part of downtown blocked off for bike parking.

So stop in and see us, grab a part for your scooter and the 2010 J&P catalog, let us know what you like or don’t like for that matter. And if you can’t make it, we’ll do our best to bring you coverage from as many of the events as we can on our Facebook and Twitter pages.

Hey Patrick, it’s awesome that you all have been at the Colorado Motorcycle Show and Swap. That is the event out here that gets us all started for many of us. We appreciate what it takes to set up, tear down and all the traveling. Question: How many years has J&P been attending this event. I’m a newbie to it, just three years.

Thanks for the kind words David, it is a lot of work. I don’t know exactly but I’m pretty sure we have been doing that show for 10 years now and look forward to next year.
