Jessica Ruse of Urban Custom Bikes (TeamURBAN) rolled into the Portland Convention Center with an old-school trike and rolled out with 2nd place at J&P Cycles Ultimate Builder Custom Bike Show in the Modified Harley class. Jessica and her son Jacob represented the Fife, WA firm at the competition with the highly modified Harley custom.
The build started with a customer that had a Sportster and couldn’t conquer two wheels so she brought it in to TeamURBAN for a trike conversion. The customer’s roots are in hot rodding, she is a cancer survivor, and her favorite color is chrome. So the color palette was simple, flat black, metal flake pink and chrome.
The trike features a Paughco wide shock springer frontend with twisted front legs, tapered rear oval legs and a floating front fender. The wheels are metal flake and chrome with twisted spokes.
The project started as raw sheet metal and the ex-husband came through with the flat black paint job.
