Jesse James Is Bringing West Coast Choppers Back

Radial-Engine-Bike-Built-by-Jesse-James-at-West-Coast-ChoppersRecently it was announced that Jesse James is relaunching West Coast Choppers. To many fans and friends, this is great news. Personally, I have always had a certain amount of respect for anyone who can back up the talk. Love or hate his work, the simple fact remains, he knows how to build and create things with his hands that many of us only dream of.

Jesse James has done for the Harley-oriented motorcycle community, what Jeremy McGrath did for motocross. He put it on the map. His art form mixed with his attitude has made him entertaining to say the least. These are the traits that seem to come naturally to him and appeals to TV show producers looking to create entertainment to fill our living rooms, and to pad their pocketbooks.

Like many creative individuals, Jesse seems to get bored doing the same thing over and over again. His creations range from choppers and sport bikes to hot rods and guns. Every project seems to carry that Jesse James flare that appeals to fans worldwide.

In relaunching West Coast Choppers four years after its doors closed, Jesse will focus on creating things and enjoying life instead of trying to grow a business too fast, and losing the joy in what he is doing. I can appreciate that. Not many of us get to make that decision in life, so if there is going to be someone who does, it might as well be someone who has paid his or her dues.

I’m personally glad to see the return of West Coast Choppers. Love him or hate him, guys like Jesse are good for the motorcycling community. They bring the passion to the forefront and help people outside the motorcycling community gain an understanding of what we all love so much. Welcome Back Jesse!

I’m glad he had the ball’s to shut WCC down instead of selling it to some big corporate s.o.b. that would have started importing shit from China.
    Good luck on your restart.

Always thought Jesse’s bikes were the “ridingest” of all the name brand chopper guys. You gotta see one in person if you get the chance. If you are a motorcycle cat, you will love it.

Right on brother! Even though I was a little concerned with your last rice grinder/crotch rocket looking thing in the build off with the occ asswads hope you’ll still lean old school choppers. Don’t let this so called changing times shit steer you away. Press on with some nice putts!

I meet Jesse James years ago in Datona Beach, FL (BIKE WEEK). We had a long conversation regarding differant styles of bike building, from mild to wild and wild is the only way to showcase your true love for the art of the build.

  6. Bobby Moser March 29, 2013 at 11:26 am

The only comparsion of the two are: Jesse James is Black Sabbath and Paul Jr. is Bon Jovi nuff said!!!!!!

  7. March 29, 2013 at 11:20 am

Jessie is a great builder no doubt about that… But your confused if you think for a second Yuppies and big tires were the worst thing to happen to the bike scene, not ( sean )… Last time I checked everyone has a right to ride.. And individualism is what its about any builder will tell you that… Hell Jessie has made a bunch of money off all those fat tires and so called Yuppies… As well as all the other builders out there… As they say opinions are like Ass****s everyone has one..

  8. Paul Romo March 29, 2013 at 6:28 am

Right on!!! Like he said…you don’t have to like him…but he so fu*n talented…I’ll be polishing my bike and watching his show!!!

  9. Ricky March 29, 2013 at 12:50 am

i have one of that bike…..a chopper from 2003’….it’s amazing….
    good luck buddy

  10. KELLY March 28, 2013 at 11:39 pm

jesse may be a better builder than either of the occ clowns, but if he could only chop his full dresser ego down to size and not spend the whole program talking about himself it might be worth watching. Talk about what you are doing jesse not about yourself! Good builders let their work do all the talking!

  11. KEN March 28, 2013 at 11:38 pm

my problem with jessy is his vulgarity ,i like to watch the chopper build off ,,enjoyed all of it but jessy gets a little to much ,,very good man and builder but no need to be a trashy person ,,he is well respected so act like you respect the audience and people watching you ,,just be the decent person you know how to be ,,

I am glad Jesse James is coming back he is the best builder and I like his attitude and he does not take shit from anyone

  15. Papa Bear March 28, 2013 at 9:13 am

Great that Jesse and WCC are back. Hopefully he is recharged and the crule/mean/nasty attitude he had at the end of his show is replaced by the pure outlaw attitude he had in the beginning.

  16. Joe March 28, 2013 at 7:20 am

With the exception of the crazy friggin’ thing pictured above, Jesse builds real bikes that human beings can ride, not some corporate logo’ed piece of crap that can only be ridden three miles before running out of gas. His metal work is the best, bar none. He’s one talented dude and I admire him for making a living doing what he loves.

  20. hal February 19, 2013 at 8:59 am

Jesse I think your a awesome man wish you lived next door . I bike all the tools on how you show how to work everything . My favorite episode of West Coast Choppers was the copper bike and the Drake engine that was liquid cooled around the 2 cylinders . I am glad you’re bringing back West Coast Choppers .

  30. Chuck February 18, 2013 at 4:59 pm

The “Harley oriented motorcycle community” was on the map a long time before he showed up.

    • Jimmy the Greek March 28, 2013 at 1:28 pm

You got that right ! I don’t even look a bikes that come from the big builders , It needs to be kept real like built in the kitchen or the back shed . The yuppies were the worst thing that ever happened to the bike sean ,them and big fat rear tires .

  31. jefframsey February 18, 2013 at 4:55 pm
