J&P Cycles will open our newly remodeled, year-round retail center on Monday, June 1, at 1650 Lazelle St. in Sturgis, the home of our temporary retail location during previous years of the annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.
The official ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. and will be attended by the Mayor of Sturgis, city council members, area business leaders and members of the J&P Cycles senior management.
“We are extremely pleased to open our doors year-round to Sturgis and the surrounding communities as well as to the millions of traveling riders passing through. Activities are planned to showcase our retail center as a key destination for bikers visiting Sturgis during the riding season and especially during the celebration of the 75th Sturgis® Motorcycle Rally™,” says J&P Cycles’ Sturgis Retail Manager Carl Fay.
The 5,000 sq. ft. Sturgis retail center, which will be J&P Cycles’ third retail location, alongside Anamosa, Iowa, and Ormond Beach, Fla., will house a wide assortment of motorcycle parts and accessories, including exhausts, seats, windshields and saddlebags, as well as leathers, gear and other apparel items.
Store hours are Monday through Saturday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Hours are subject to change seasonally.
The idea to open a year-round retail store in Sturgis started about eight months ago as a concept, and through the support of upper leadership and the hard work as a team, we were able to build something great in this location.
Construction started on March 9, 2015, and the store will be up and running June 1 following the ribbon cutting. Be sure to stop back July 4-5 for our Grand Opening celebration. Stay tuned for exciting details and entertainment announcements!
