Gentleman Ride Benefiting Waypoint Services Set for Oct. 11

Waypoint Services in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, provides shelter and support for women and families in crisis due to homelessness, poverty, domestic violence or sexual assault. It also provides quality, affordable child care.

The organization holds various events throughout  the year to raise awareness to end domestic violence. One of these is the Gentleman Ride. This year’s Gentleman Ride will start directly from the J&P Cycles Showroom in Anamosa, Iowa, on Saturday, Oct. 11. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. with kickstands up at 11 a.m. For those coming from the Cedar Rapids and Dubuque areas, pre-start rides will take place from both of those locations to J&P Cycles. Participants close to Cedar Rapids can register at Metro Harley-Davidson beginning at 8 a.m. with the group leaving for Anamosa at 9 a.m. Meanwhile, participants in the Dubuque area can register at Dubuque Harley-Davidson at 8 a.m. with that group of riders also leaving for Anamosa at 9 a.m.

Upon departing from J&P Cycles, the group of riders will head to Delhi, Iowa. From Delhi, the group will travel to Wyoming, Iowa, before arriving at the final destination,  Scooters, Anamosa. The riders will return to Scooters around 3:30 p.m. At Scooters there will be live music, food, a silent auction, raffle and more!

The cost to participate in this worthy event is $15 a motorcycle or $25 for 2 up.
