The 2014 Vintage Torque Fest took place in Dubuque, Iowa, a mere 47 miles from the J&P Cycles World Headquarters outside Anamosa, so we sent a crew to check out the sights and sounds. For those who aren’t familiar with Vintage Torque Fest, it’s a festival that brings people from around the country together to share the past alive, and it’s not just about the cars and motorcycles, but the music, clothes and art, also.
If you’re interested in everything vintage, you’ll want to check this out.
The 2014 Daytona Bike Week is in the books, but we had such a great time that we had to share just how awesome it was! Attendance was up at our J&P Cycles Destination Daytona Superstore and despite the construction at the Speedway, we saw quite a few folks come through and check out the J&P Cycles mobile showroom.
Bike Week 2014 started off rainy and miserable, but then the skies cleared up and the sun came out. And so did the bikes! Main Street was packed as usual with vendors, bars, bikes and babes lining the fabled stretch of asphalt night-after-night and day-after-day. Anyone who knows Daytona will tell … Continue Reading

It’s not too early to start thinking about this year’s J&P Cycles Open House Rally! In fact, while most of the country is in a deep freeze, it’s the perfect time to start planning that trip to the heartland of eastern Iowa this June (when it’s almost guaranteed to be much warmer).

As we sit with our feet dangling on the edge of a new year, we have a lot to think about. Past rides, future rides and epic rides come to mind – along with memories made with old friends and the new ones we met along the way. We’ve seen a lot from the seat of our motorcycles and hopefully we’ll see so much more as the new year gets underway. Every mile we ride, whether good or bad, becomes a story to tell. You may … Continue Reading

Editor’s Note: What appears below is a guest blog post from AirHawk’s own Craig Johnson and his journey to get to this year’s J&P’s Open House Rally. The day started around 6:15 with the push of the garage door opener, and the good mood began. Another push of a button and the office thundered to life rumbling with anticipation. The work day was about to begin.

Last year, our friends at Allstate Motorcycle Insurance implemented the Once is Never Enough (ONE) Campaign bringing awareness of motorcycles and motorcyclists to the greater public. The sole purchase of ONE was to build awareness of the most common causes of motorcycle crashes – collisions with motorists at intersections – and to remind drivers that looking once at intersections is never enough.
Later that same year, Allstate asked its Facebook fans to help riders stay safe by identifying dangerous intersections they have encountered. Over 1,500 people answered that call giving them a wealth of use information to help prevent accidents.
Inspired by those very responses, Allstate has created the Rider … Continue Reading
