Last week Harley-Davidson issued a recall for ABS-equipped 2014 touring models. The recall notice affects 66,421 motorcycles and the issue is placement of the bike’s front brake line, which may become pinched between the fuel tank and frame, potentially locking up the front wheel.
Owners affected will be notified by H-D, and be offered a free fix at a dealer near them. Dealers will inspect the brake line for damage and replace as necessary. Additionally, the dealer will install cable straps to ensure the brake line will not become compromised in the future.

Today we are going to talk about one of the most marketed debuts for an alternative to an American made motorcycle. Reported here two years ago, industry giant Polaris acquired the rights and intellectual properties to the Indian name brand. Here a few weeks ago, Mother Harley brought out this year’s new models. Across the board there are relatively few surprises except on the new Ultra Classic and the new Tri-Glide. A few years ago, I saw where the Harley Davidson Motor Company applied for a patent for water cooled big twin heads. Well, this year they are putting those puppies to use. The top of the line Ultra Classic and the Tri-Glides are the first official “Waterhogs” sporting two small radiators mounted in the fairing lowers in the highway bars.
