Winter workshopEditor’s Note: J&P Cycles Iowa Showroom Sales Tech Merrill Bonney started with J&P back in May of 1999 as a phone sales representative. He worked the showroom during that year’s Sturgis Rally, and stayed there after the event, moving onto a sales tech position. His motorcycle riding journey began in 1975 and since he has owned a number of bikes. Today his current ride is a 1997 FLHRFI fuel-injected Road King. In his spare time, Merrill enjoys tinkering on his motorcycle. He has done most of the work on all his motorcycles and vehicles.

Subtle Changes in the 2012 Harley-Davidson Model Lineup

It’s a new model year for Harley-Davidson, and when it comes to motors, all I have to say is “Goodbye 96 and hello 103.” That’s because all Twin Cam models, with the exception of the Dyna Super Glide and Street Bob, now come standard with the 103 motor.

This news, and the fact that the Rocker has been discontinued, are pretty much all there is for me to get excited about this year. Also on the chopping block are the Crossbones and Street Glide Trike. CVO models remain unchanged — the exception being the Road Glide Custom is going to be replaced by the Road Glide Ultra.
