Our friends over at Klock Werks are raffling off an awesome 2010 tricked out Victory Kingpin next Friday, Oct. 26. The bike, Tattooed for Life, honors two men close to the Klock Werks family who were tragically killed in different accidents and represents the importance of organ donation.
Twenty-nine-year old Vic Briggs, a Klock Werks team member, was lost in automobile accident in late June of 2011. Austin Shimon, 20, a close friend of the Klock Werks family, passed away after a motorcycle accident in 2009. Both Vic and Austin were organ donors, and through their selfless gifts, were able to save the lives of others awaiting organ donation.… Continue Reading
Despite a gloomy rainy Eastern Iowa Day, J&P Cycles and the Marines made the most of the first annual J&P Cycles Toys for Tots Run held Saturday, Oct. 13 at J&P Cycles. We collected hundreds of toys for less fortunate Iowa children, in addition to hundreds of dollars in cash donations.
The band New Trick was a hit as were the Marines in attendance as they posed for photos and collected toys. If you didn’t have an opportunity to come out to the Iowa showroom this weekend to donate a new, unwrapped toy, you still have a chance to do so. Donation boxes are set up in both the Iowa … Continue Reading

The summer sun is quickly fading here in Eastern Iowa. Anytime now the warm weather will be replaced with cooler days and brisk nights. This time of year not only means bon voyage to summer, but also the J&P Cycles Cruise Nights for the 2012 season.
This Tuesday, Sept. 11, marks the year’s final Cruise Night event. Make plans now for one last summer fun event before saying goodbye to the great season. The event begins at 5:15 at J&P’s headquarters just off Highway 151, one mile north of Anamosa, Iowa. Enjoy great company, good food and awesome-looking cars and motorcycles.
If you call Eastern Iowa home, you are likely aware of the big annual motorcycle weekends around Anamosa: the National Motorcycle Museum’s Vintage Rally and Midwest Hillclimbers Association Hillclimb the first weekend in June; J&P’s annual Open House the last weekend in June and the Museum’s Sidecar Rally and Midwest Hillclimbers Association Hillclimb the weekend after Labor Day.
This Saturday, Sept. 8, the Museum is hosting the 9th Annual East Central Iowa Sidecar Rally from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Catch sidecars from around the Midwest, enjoy food, vendors and raffle prizes.

Labor Day weekend in Iowa marks one of the largest antique motorcycle swap meets and vintage flat-track races in the United States, hosted by the Chief Blackhawk Chapter of the Antique Motorcycle Club of America (AMCA), and it’s going to take place just down the road from J&P Cycles’ headquarters.
This year’s AMCA Fall National is set for Thursday, Aug. 30, through Saturday, Sept. 1, at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds in Davenport. The three-day event annually attracts riders and families from across the country, drawn to the dirt track to watch vintage motorcycles compete.
Other big draws include hundreds of bikes on display, a parts swap meet, craft fair, cocktail … Continue Reading
There was a lot going on in Sturgis, and we couldn’t possibly tell you about it all in this blog post.
What we offer up here is two and a half minutes of footage that highlights the happenings at this year’s Sturgis Rally in South Dakota.
And if a photograph is worth a thousand words, this footage goes far and beyond what anyone could describe in a blog post. We present a collage of sights and scenes from this year’s rally, from bikini-clad dancers to bad ass motorcycles, and impromptu sword swallowers and flame and smoke filled burnouts.
If you missed this year’s motorcycle Mecca on Interstate 90, then … Continue Reading
It’s really no big deal, but we’ve gone ahead and tagged the word “rally” onto the back end of our33rd annual J&P Cycles Open House – mainly because it best describes an event that promises to be the biggest and best in more than three decades.
You might be asking how we can justify a statement as grand as that, but here’s the deal: This extravaganza — now known as the J&P Cycles Open House Rally – is scheduled for June 23 & 24 at our headquarters outside Anamosa, Iowa. And this year’s event will feature representatives from an unprecedented 100 different motorcycle brands who will be on … Continue Reading
On Feb. 14, while most of the nation dressed up in red or pink to celebrate Valentine’s Day, the employees here at J&P Cycles were sporting green in honor of National Donor Day. As you might know, J&P founder John Parham was the recipient of a donated lung back in August of 2010, and he’s doing quite well, thank you. In fact, you’ll likely not find more grateful or active supporters of organ donation that John and his family.
National Donor Day is a way to highlight the many ways people can help save lives through organ donations, blood donations, marrow drives and tissue sign-up events across the … Continue Reading
Here at J&P Cycles, we feel strongly in the concept that it’s important to give back what was so freely given to us. Whether that means taking part in a local highway clean-up project or holding a fund-raiser for one of our favorite charities, we do our best to do our part for this community that has served us so well over the decades.
Recently, we helped bring some additional holiday cheer to down-on-their-luck families in Jones County, Iowa, home to the J&P headquarters. We raised $1,200 for Anamosa Charities, Inc., a local nonprofit that has provided toys around the holidays to Jones County families since 1992. Before that, … Continue Reading
