Reminder: Pay Attention to your Surroundings

Ryan GendreauWe were saddened this week to learn that a husband, dad, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend lost his life during a fourth annual motorcycle trip in Arkansas. Ryan Gendreau, of Sabula, Iowa, lost his life doing exactly what he loved – riding his motorcycle. Unfortunately his death occurred much too soon as Ryan was only 35, leaving behind a wife, two small children and many other family members.

A true motorcycle-enthusiast, in addition to spending quality time with his wife and children, Ryan loved hopping on his bike and going for a ride. Traveling to J&P from his home was not uncommon. In fact, right before his final trip, he made one last stop to our Iowa showroom.

Like many other enthusiasts who pass well before their time, Ryan lost his life when a car crossing the highway he was traveling on, struck him. We can’t say it enough – regardless of if you’re in a car or on a motorcycle, always pay attention to your surroundings. If you’re in a car driving with motorcycles around you, go the extra mile to make sure you both remain safe.

My heart goes out to Ryan’s family. A truly great guy is gone and it could have prevented if that person had just paid attention. Alway look around.

Got blasted 4 years ago by a driver not paying attention. I was in a coma for a week. The louder your pipes are, the safer you are. This guy was blasting his music, fighting with his wife, trying to look at a map and guess what ?

RIP Brother . Our thoughts and prayers are with your loved ones and family members .from all of us at Bayon Brotherhood RC ,Kingdom of Cambodia.
