AMA Pro Racing GNC Half MileIf you have never seen a flat track race, this might be the year for you to do so. Coming from a racing background, I have seen and participated in all forms of motorcycle racing in my time. I started riding real aggressive on the street when I was younger and after a plethora of speeding tickets, one of my friends convinced me to get certified for road racing, which I did, and I loved it!

Later in my 30s I decided to learn how to ride off road. That led to me participating in GNCC races, Motocross races, and even some Supermoto races.

A year ago I managed to go to my first AMA Flat Track event and I was not disappointed. These guys are hammering! The speeds are insane, and the tight racing is something you have to see in person to appreciate. TV simply does not do it justice, at all! This is the grass roots of racing.

Shayna TexterThis year J&P Cycles is the Presenting Sponsor of AMA Pro Flat Track, and Title Sponsor of the AMA Pro J&P Cycles Pro Singles class. The best-of-the-best will be competing for the $10,000.00 first place prize. You can see the entire list of racers here. They are all chasing the defending Single Series champion Stephan Vanderkuur.

And, for you ladies out there Shayna Texter will be competing all year against the boys!

The first race is March 14 in Daytona during Bike Week. The entire schedule can be found here. We look forward to seeing you at the races!

I’ll get to see them three times this year Stockton, Sacramento and Santa Rosa. I just wish we still had the “Blue Groove” at San Jose, you talk about insane racing that place was off the hook!
Maybe we’ll get lucky enough to see them head back to Calistoga, that my friend was increible kinda reminded me of Ascot.
