We’ve been talking about it for months here on the blog and it’s finally here – the 32nd annual J&P Cycles Open House. Anamosa, Iowa, is the place to be this weekend as more than 20,000 motorcyclists from around the world converge on this small community for one of the biggest biking events in the Midwest.
If you’re in the area, you’ll have the opportunity to see Extreme Obstacle Rider Geoff Aaron, a 10-time AMA Trials Champion with more than 73 career National wins under his belt. The Daytona Harley Davidson Drill Team’s event is one not to be missed, and so is the ILL Conduct Motorcycle Stunt Show.
Products, products, products – the J&P Cycles Warehouse will be transformed into one enormous showroom. See the newest motorcycle products from some of the most popular motorcycle manufacturers in the country – more than 80 name brands. Save 10 percent off most items, and if you’re a Gold Club member, you receive up to 15 percent off. Make sure you make it over to the clearance area, which will feature some items priced up to 50 percent off.
A dyno drag will be on site for motorcyclists.. You can take in a bike show or two – the one on Saturday features all makes and models and is sponsored by American Iron, American Iron Bagger and RoadBike magazines. Sunday’s bike show, sponsored by Ironworks magazine, will feature vintage and retro bobbers.
J&P Cycles Open House started as a small celebration for owners John and Jill Parham to thank their customer base. Today that event has grown by leaps and bounds into a two-day destination activity that draws visitors from all over the country and beyond. Keep this in mind for your travel options: Anamosa is a just a short motorcycle trip away from all the hot spots in the Midwest. So pack your gear, grab a map and head out. We’ll see you this weekend!
