J&P Interviews Our First ‘Industry Icon’

March 10, 2011 | By: Patrick Garvin

We are an industry filled with interesting people. And in our recent travels to dealer shows and industry events in Cincinnati and Indianapolis, we have had the opportunity to chat with some of the motorcycle industry’s true innovators. These folks were here in the beginning, or they greatly improved what was introduced in the beginning.

Their designs and improvements to every part on our bikes have resulted in standards that continue to make motorcycle riding the highlight of many of our lives. As a result of these industry giants, we decided it was time to formally interview some of them. So welcome to the first of a series of videos that we’re calling our “Industry Icons.”

And first out of the gate is none other than Bert Baker of Baker Drivetrain. No one optimizes American ingenuity like this man, and it doesn’t hurt that he’s also one of the most interesting people on the planet. Here’s what he had to say.

Stay tuned for more “Industry Icon” interviews right here on the J&P Cycles blog.
