Every year, the folks here at J&P Cycles come up with creative ways to raise money for our local charities. In the past we’ve taken Pies in the Face and participated in local food drives. This year, our Ormond Beach, Fla., staff decided to offer up the services of its management staff, and the first fundraiser required a little elbow grease on their part.
Employees had the opportunity to purchase tickets that entitled them to have their favorite manager wash their motorcycle or car. Each ticket they bought was a chance to have their name drawn from a hat to win a free car/bike wash. The more tickets they bought, the better chance they’d get to watch a boss wash their vehicle.
Our staff also participated in an employee hot dog sale. Each employee could purchase hot dogs, which were delivered by J&P Cycle’s management staff, complete with drinks, chips and dessert.
The two events put on by our Ormond Beach staff raised nearly $250 that was donated to the Second Harvest Food bank. We enjoy contributing to our local community and half the fun is coming up with new ideas to raise money. We’re looking for suggestions for next year, so give us your ideas! Management Dunk Tank, anyone?
