J&P Cycles’ Attends its First Wing Ding – And We’ll be Back!
July 9, 2010 | By: Patrick Garvin
We ventured into uncharted territory last weekend when we attended our first-ever Wing Ding, which was held in Des Moines, Iowa, this year. We’re thinking this is something we probably should have done sooner. The turnout for the event was awesome — in part no doubt to the spectacular weather we had all week. Wingers from everywhere, rolling in from as far away as New Zealand, attended this year’s event!
The J&P Mobile Showroom was set up in its usual impressive fashion, but with a twist. It was loaded to the hilt with Gold Wing products. On the heels of our brand-spanking new Gold Wing catalog, we went ahead and crammed as many new Wing products as we could into the truck and brought them with us. And it’s a good thing we did. There was a veritable feeding frenzy as the Wingers descended on the J&P Cycles space gobbling up the Kuryakyn, Show Chrome and many other Wing-specific parts that we hauled across the state to the 32nd annual meeting of Wing riders from all over the world.
The Iowa Wing Ding was a well-run event full of people brought together by their shared love of motorcycles. In fact, we’re still kicking ourselves for not checking this shindig out sooner. We’ll see you next year in Knoxville. Count on it!
