John,
So happy to hear you're doing better and have had a lung transplant. We enjoy several similarities, I had surgery this summer and they took out 2 ft of my colon and my wife is on the transplant list at UW Medical Center for pulmanary fibrosis, pulmanary hyper tension and sclaraderma as well as I'm a avid motorcycle rider since I got my endorsement in 1965. My first bike was a 1970 Norton, brought new, and today I am the proud owner of a 2007 FLSTN and my 1986 Suzuki Intruder, both brought new.
Our Lord is watching over us, I believe he will not put more on us than we can handle and these are but trials to strenghten us. My wife Cathy and I have been married for 29 yrs next month and I love her more today than I did when I met her.
God speed, and being an Iowa native, now in WA, I hope meet you someday.
Take care,
Vince Helt

Hi John,
I'm a 6/7/07 recipient of a heart. The donoir was a young woman in her thirties. I call her "Dorothy" as I am the Tinman. Keep a positive attitude and believe ina good final out come. Pray yourself and ask others prayer for you. It works there have been medical studies showing that prayers do work. There are better outcome for those who are prayed for. I was down to 7% output and 125lbs at 6 feet tall. Keep praying and working to build yourself up as much as you can. Prayers from me for your recovery and your family's pain to be softened.

John you are in our prayers, and I have put you on the prayer chain at church so add 2500 more people praying for you. We missed seeing you vending next to us at Wauseon this year. You take care and feel the good thoughts coming your way. Remember hope floats!

Thanks for the inspiration regarding remembering what's really important. We all get so busy that it's easy to forget.

God bless.

Dear Mr. Parham,

How right you are about focusing on the real joys of life while you can. You quickly learn to enjoy life's simple pleasures when your own mortality becomes evident. My wife and I are celebrating our 19th wedding anniversary. She was diagnosed with invasive ductal breast cancer last year and she is still experiencing chemo side effects. Although a loved one having cancer is something I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy, we have never been so close and have really been blessed by how our lives have changed. Life takes on new meaning and the simple pleasures become so important to enjoy while you can.

Although I'm a new customer I appreciate your willingness to contact you customer base with your story.

God bless you and your family and I will pray for you.

Dear John,
you know cancer does the same kind of tap dance on your spirit, or at least it tries. Went down that road a couple of years back. Better now thanks to good Doc's and the power of prayer. Now don't get me wrong here...I'm not very religious, but a lot of people were praying for me and I beat the bitch. So, I will pray for you. And you too will beat the bitch. Get healthy, get the transplant and ride hard! Doner card in hand here since the beginning of the program. Good luck John!
