For the past three years J&P Cycles has attended the Riding into History, Concours d’Elegance Motorcycle show. Each spring, this world-class event is held at the beautiful World Golf Village in St Augustine, Fla. This year — the 11th annual event — enjoyed a great turnout. In fact, every time we attend this event we see more and more motorcycles and even more spectators.

Each year, we offer 10% off our merchandise and free shipping to people who show up at Concours d’Elegance and support the motorcycle community. Between 300 and 400 motorcycles from around the world were on display this year, including vintage, race, late model and custom bikes. Models include (BSA, Norton, Triumph, Indian, Ducati, Harley-Davidson, Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki and many from rare motorcycle manufacturers.

Past winners of this event include:

  • 1912 Abingdon King Dick
  • 1948 Moto Guzzi Aerone Sport
  • 1973 Triumph X75
  • 1964 Honda CB77
  • 1977 Honda CJ360
  • 1968 Velocette

This year’s Concours d’Elegance featured free seminars from legendary motorcycle designer Craig Vetter. The Grand Marshal was Clement Salvadori. In addition, we had the pleasure of sharing the event with vendors and organizations from around the area, including the Wounded Warrior Project, Christian Motorcyclists Association, and the lovely Chrome Divas who offered free bottled water to all the spectators.

The J&P crew arrived early and found some time after setup to shoot some footage before the show opened. This video illustrates just a few of the many motorcycle entries on display.

This event is a great opportunity to see motorcycles that most people never get close to in their lifetimes. The hospitality is excellent, especially the BMW Owners of NorthEast Florida who were the presenters of the event. If it’s motorcycle history you’re interested in, or just an opportunity to stand shoulder to shoulder with hundreds of folks who share the same passion for riding that you do, make plans to attend next year’s Concours d’Elegance Motorcycle show.
