Getting the Most from J&P Technical Support

Our technicians strive to provide you with accurate information about your motorcycle and to provide that information in a timely fashion. And the more familiar you are with your motorcycle and the products you’re interested in, the more efficient our technicians can be in providing the information you require. Whether you contact us via live chat, phone or email, the more details you can provide upfront, the better we can serve you.

For example, when calling, emailing or chatting with our support reps, you first need to give us the year and model motorcycle you’re working on (i.e., if you tell us you have a Softail, we need to know which model Softail it is… is it an FXST, FXSTD, or an FXCWC?) In most cases, there is enough of a difference between models that it’ll matter when it comes to selecting the correct parts. Doing just a little research on your own before you contact a motorcycle tech is always advantageous. For example, write down any questions you may have so we can be sure to answer them all before you get off the phone. If you’re looking to upgrade your exhaust, for example, read up on the difference between slip-on mufflers and full systems. If you’re looking for a windshield, determine what size you’re going to need. This way, when you call us, we can get down to specifics and help you select the best product to suit your needs.

In addition to doing your homework before you contact us, we encourage you to use the many online resources J&P provides for you so you can quickly find what you’re looking for.
