Stay Connected…eCaddy’s Electronic Device Mounting Kits for Motorcycles
March 30, 2010 | By: Patrick Garvin
I’ve been doing quite a bit of traveling these past few months, attending motorcycle trade shows, consumer events and rallies all over the country. While traveling, I have noticed a real trend that’s starting to gain some traction. The need for cell phone, MP3 and GPS holders seem to be at an all time high, and with most of us owning two of the three, it’s easy to see why.
Personally, while the last thing I want interrupting me as I’m ripping through a corner is a ringing cell phone, it’s just not that practical anymore to leave home without at least one of these devices. Not only do you “need” them, they need to be in a visible and functional location on your bike, not in your pocket or motorcycle saddlebag where they do you no good.
The second issue is the amount of variance in the size of each device. Because of this, it’s almost impossible to have a universal holder. The folks at Leader Motorcycle Accessories – a woman rider-owned company near Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota – have obviously put some thought into these exact issues. They have created different mounting solutions for all of the aforementioned items (and then some) at prices that won’t break the bank.
Do yourself a favor; quit digging around in your pockets while cruising, or trying to duct tape a $600 GPS to your bars. Pick up an eCaddy from Leader (trust me, you’ll be glad you did).
